an update — what’s next?

Can it really be a year? The last blogpost was on the Green Party leadership contest. Since then so much has happened — just not on this blog. So why the silence? In a nutshell: work. Mountains of it. Which I’m grateful for, don’t get me wrong, but it’s been such an exhausting time… and soon enough a couple of months turned into a year.

bulletin-board-3233653_1920Before writing this update I looked into a folder containing a few drafts. Although one or two are clearly past their use-by date, others are still highly topical — the state of the centre-left in Germany, for example, or the fight for reproductive rights. So these could well be dusted off and updated and finally see light of day. But to get things started there’ll be a completely new post on the recent state election in Bremen, where the Social Democrats, Greens and Left Party have agreed to start negotiations to form the first red-red-green coalition in a western German state. Could it be a blueprint for the federal level…?

So that’s about all for now, as this is just a quick update. This afternoon I’m going to begin writing the Bremen post for you to read very soon.

But one last thing. Thank you for reading The Green Left Hand, especially if you’ve followed it from early on. I hope you’ll enjoy the new posts and continue to read the blog!
